Smudging with sages is a powerful tool in spiritual practice. Burning sacred herbs improves awareness and focus. It is commonly used to practice mindfulness, transcendental meditation, & or cleansing/purification of one’e environment.

Prodominatly native to Australia with a small number found outside of the continent, Eucalyptus is a genus of over seven hundred species of floweing trees, shrubs or mallees in the myrtle family, Myrtaceae. With unique barks that are either smooth, fibrous, hard or stringy, leaves with active oil gland, sepals, & petals that are fused to form a "cap" or operculum over the stamens. The fruit is a woody capsule commonly referred to as a "gumnut".

More modernly Eucalypts have been grown in plantations in many other countries due to thier rapid growth rate, timber value, the utlilization in honey production when used as pulpwood. In some countries, however, they have been removed because of the danger of forest fires due to their high inflammability.

Traditionally the leafs & essentail oils are used for healing & protection. Believed to assist in the clearing of negative or stagnant energy, improves physical health & strengthens the immune system. It is used to purify a room or house of negative energy, especially after disagreements, when the unwanted energy has accumulated.
