The power of scent:
The sense of smell plays an important role in the physiological effects of mood, stress, & working capacity. Electrophysiological studies have revealed that various fragrances affected spontaneous brain activities & cognitive functions, which are measured by an electroencephalograph (EEG)
When combined, herbs & oils work together holistically in ways that can relieve the discomfort of many common hormonal imbalances, help restore normal glandular functions, & improve the quality of life.

What are aromatics?
a substance or plant emitting a pleasant & distinctive smell.

Scent & the Brain:
Smell is the most sensitive of the senses. As infants, smell is the first sense to develop. Our noses have as many as six million odor detecting cells.
Smells are handled by the olfactory bulb, the structure in the front of the brain that sends information to the other areas of the body's central command for further processing. Odors take a direct route to the limbic system, including the amygdala & the hippocampus, the regions related to emotion & memory
Scientists believe that our sense of smell triggers memory more than other senses because those senses do not pass through these areas of the brain. Memories that are triggered by our olfactory senses can be accompanied by clear images & feelings of happiness, excitement, agony, & despair.

In a safe and well-ventilated area, position abalone shell, ceramic, soapstone or burner bowl of choice on top of the wooden cobra tripod, use the black ritual sand as a heat barrier pouring enough to cover the center of the shell. Carefully w/tongs light tip of charcoal, mindfully, intentionally & cautiously, add resins to top of coal. Or use a Ceramic Oil Burner with tea candles.
